Peer review process

All manuscripts submitted to IVES Technical Reviews are peer-reviewed according to the following procedure:

Initial evaluation: One of the editors-in-chief evaluates the manuscript to determine if its topic and content are suitable for consideration with regard to the following two criteria: scientific quality and interest for the vine and wine industry.

Peer review: Manuscripts that pass the initial evaluation are sent to two reviewers, a researcher and an industry professional (members of our Editorial Board). The aim of this unique evaluation system is to ensure the scientific quality of the articles published and their interest to readers.

Editorial decision: Based on the referees' comments and his own recommendations, the Editor-in-chief makes a decision on the acceptability of the manuscript and communicates the decision to the authors, along with referees' reports.

Several exchanges then lead to a final version that can be published, if appropriate.
